FO: Lattice Top

My friend Maia proposed a KAL for us last October and she chose this pattern from The Purl Bee: Cap Sleeve Lattice top.

The deadline was supposed to be last 31st of October, but I didn't get to finish it on time, due to both expected and unforeseen circumstances. So thankful that my KAL partner is so patient with me and let me finish a LOT later than we decided.

And here is my Lattice Top, finally, 23 days late. hahaha.

So proud of it! I didn't think it would be possible to knit a nice, airy top suitable to our climate, yet here we are!

Some deviations from the pattern:
- Used thinner yarn than called for, to produce a lighter, airy fabric.
- Knit in the round instead of knitting the front and back flat and separately. For the shoulder seams, I ended the rounds at the Wrong Side and used the kitchener stitch to sew them together.
- Cast on less stitches than called for, to make up for the different gauge.

Now, it's my turn to choose the next top for another KAL :D

The reason for the radio silence

I haven't been knitting and blogging lately because...

Marc and I got married! :D :D :D

Not to say that I will stop knitting and blogging after this big step. It's just that we've been busy planning and moving and reordering our lives. Once we've settled down, my needles will be back in business.
